The idea is to build a Patriotic Outdoor Display to celebrate our nation’s independence and to show your support for our troops abroad. It can include red, white and blue flowers, ribbons, decorations and so much more. We have much to be proud of in Council Bluffs and southwest Iowa right now as we battle the Missouri River and its tribuaries, so here's another way to salute those working hard to serve others.
* Submission dates: “Flag Day” Tuesday, June 14, at 4 p.m. through Monday, July 11, at 4 p.m.
* Voting dates: Friday, July 1, thru Monday, July 11, at 4 p.m.
* There is no fee to submit an entry or to vote.
* Automated voting is prohibited.

First- and second-place prizes will be awarded in two categories - Judge's Choice and the regular online voting. First-place entries will receive $100 gift cards while second-place recipients will get $50 gift cards.
